Why are we here?

In a time where the women's fitness message is about weight loss and body image, Formation Strength is bringing training back to its roots: The pursuit of lifelong athleticism.

So many of us grew up playing sports, training to perform, and building confidence as a result. But what happens after we’re done playing?

For many women, there is a loss of identity, accountability, structure, and reason to train when our athletic careers end.

In a state of uncertainty and identity confusion, we start searching for some kind of physical activity to hold on to without any guidance.

Often times the message found is weight loss. On the opposite end of the spectrum, we find something that has us chasing a sweat with no concrete rhyme or reason behind it.

There’s a disconnect between the way we've trained our whole lives and how we continue on our fitness journeys after we're done.

We know first hand what it’s like to pursue our athletic dreams, then have no direction or team to turn to after our playing days.

Even though we are retired from sport, we are not retired from life. The drive and passion that fueled us during our playing years doesn’t just stop. And it doesn’t have to.

In our search to find a team to identify with post playing days, we both were coming up short. So we decided to create our own.

That’s why we’re here.

We’re getting back to focusing on performance, remaining athletic, and continuing on the journey that got most of us into strength training in the first place.

We're here to be a catalyst to launch a new mindset around women’s fitness.
