We are thrilled that you want to be part of this incredible group of women, getting strong AF together in every capacity. Starting anything can bring up a wide slew of emotions - excitement, determination, fear, uncertainty, contemplation of what's possible - these are all super normal.

Before you get started, here are some thoughts about how to make the most of your time and kick ass on the Training Team:

We are here to support you and help keep you accountable every step of the way. The reason to be on a team is to not have to tackle something alone, even if you are training by yourself. We're here for YOU. We know, a lot of times, it's challenging as women to ask for help. We tend to like to take things on by ourselves or not feel like we are putting anyone out by asking for help. The team only gets stronger and more supportive by our teammates sharing when they need support. It's gives other women a chance to show up in a supportive role and strengthens the bond of the team. Women supporting women in this closed group will carry over into women supporting women in life.

There will never be a 12 week period in life that you'll have a perfectly clear schedule to take on ANY kind of program. There will be days that you get held over at work. There will be birthday parties. There will be vacations. There will be holidays. There will be days you're tired. Knowing that these thing are coming and having a mental strategy to move through them without guilt or getting down on yourself will be key to staying consistent and feeling good through out the program. We will be talking a ton about mindset and giving you tools to help with this, but having this expectation from the start will help push through (our own mental blocks) when it happens.

For yourself, that is. Women are great at showing up for everyone else. You've heard the phrase, "put on your own oxygen mask first so you can take care of others." We say, "put on your own oxygen mask first so you can take care of you." You're also worth taking care of. Will that have spill over into life, yes! But even if it didn't, you're worth showing up for.

We have been conditioned to use the scale as the ultimate measure of progress, and we call BS on that. When the season kicks off, we will be talking about a bunch of different ways you can measure progress. In fact, if you want to throw the scale out, be our guest. It's good for collecting data, but there are so many other better measures of progress and we will be focusing a ton on those ways. Like logging our lifts or our distances for intervals, the scale is just data.

Even though this is a pretty straight forward, feelsy intro to how you can kick ass, we love having fun and being goofballs. While our goal is to provide you with the smartest, most effective, efficient training program we can, we also want to have a great time. Everybody got jokes in here. The more you enjoy something, the more likely you are to keep doing it. Especially in the group, if you show up as your authentic self and add your personal flavor of fun, we will have a pretty incredible team soup. Can't wait to kick ass with you!
